Brunei Halal Products Promotion

About 4-5 months ago there was a BruneiHalal expo held at the ICC and BruneiHalal is actually a brand for Halal food products. Back then, their products were not available for sale "one by one" merely sold in a package promotion (In a Hamper style), so testing (or rather taste-ing) said products was out of the question. 

Now according to schedule, as they have mentioned that some of their products will start to be available after Hari Raya, BruneiHalal is having a product Launch promotion sale starting today 23rd September 2010 till 20th October 2010. 

My Parents and I went over to the place today, where they're having their sale to finally get a chance to buy and taste some of the products. Here's what we bought so far today :

"The Stuff"

Instant Cup Noodles

 Potato Chips and Corn Crunchies

 Noodle Nuggets Snacks

Chocolates

Cookies and Biscuits

Inside the "Regal" cookies/biscuits tin.

Haven't tested all of them yet, so far the Cookies/Biscuits,The Noodle Nuggets (BBQ) & Chocolates.

BruneiHalal Products launch Promotion :

Lets see if you out there can guess what flower this is..?? its easy enough if can remember & recognize the leaves. :)

Mantis (2)

Another of the Mantids that i used to breed, this one is the female and as you can see, its wings have fully developed meaning that it has reached adulthood. This species of Mantids/Mantis are quite small (see how big my finger looks), the largest size they grow to is about 1.5 inches to 2 inches.

An Asian Grass Mantis that i used to breed. Its also called an Ant Mantis as when they are young they resemble black ants. I think this was the male and it has not reached adulthood yet (if you notice, the wings are not fully developed yet).

Street Fighter : Legacy - A Short Film

Fans of the Street Fighter franchise, BEHOLD, a short fan film made by a huge fan of Street Fighter, Joey Ansah from the UK. The film is well done in my high opinion, this is how the previous SF movies should have been made. A huge applause & thanks to Joey Ansah and those involved in the making. It goes to show, you can still make something good without having to change too much.

A combo edit of some of Marvel's 'cosmic'/space characters/teams. Its not entirely finished, but i decided to stop with this & focus on another one i'm doing. Turned out nice & i'm happy with it.

I figure Thanos will be manipulating these guys into doing some of his work for him.

The IMPOSSIBLES...!!!

Had an idea of putting together some of Marvel's characters into a team. Now What would be a good name for a team consisting of "Wacky, semi-insane, near-unkillable" characters....?? (i.e Deadpool, Madcap, Mr. Immortal, Slapstick & "Impy" The Impossible Man)

After many a thoughts, i had a name for them, its not that brilliant & creative but i think appropriate....

The Amazing Spider-man #617 & #625

These two issues are part of " The Gauntlet" storyarc/saga currently being told in this Spidey-title. These two issues involve The Rhino (Aleksei Sytsevich). IMO this particular story within the saga is by far one of the BEST. 

There is great emotion within this story that makes it so worth reading. The Rhino is written here with more depth than ever was, more than just a super-villain thug like he was usually potrayed. His love & devotion towards Oksana (his wife, yes he fell in love & married not too long ago in MU time), the sadness & rage, all of it hits me deep when i read it. 

This is def one of the best stories in the 'rebooted' spidey titles, i highly recommend &thank you Joe Kelly (the writer) for a great & well done story & also to Max Fiumara for the art, it fits well with this story, Kudos..!! 

What would Chris Evans-Cap look like..??

So i did a few simple edits on what Chris Evans would look like as Captain America using the two images below :

A less beefy (but still buff) look. This is what i think is possible & reminds me of the 90's Cap build.

Juggernaut Triumphant..!!!

A new edit i did recently (one of my favorite edits now), a "What If..?" scenario of the old rivalry/feud between the Juggernaut & the Hulk. The Juggernaut finally defeats the Hulk..!!

Went hunting in the storeroom for some stuff & look what i found. Would you believe that this is my old DEVASTATOR Transformer...??  It really is & it's in good condition (minus some teeny bits here & there). Ahhhh i just love my old stuff, i wonder if i can find some more next time....  :}

Mixed Pasta-Spaghetti

Didn't go out to eat last night, so i decided to cook some pasta for myself & the parents. Had some leftover sauce so it was just cooking the pasta. Yuummmm been a while since i made & ate some pasta...MMMmmmm......

"Captain America" chosen..!!

Captain America has been chosen & his name is Chris Evans..!! 

Yes, Chris Evans from Cellular, Fantastic Four, Sunshine & Push movies fame. As of Monday 22.03.2010, it has been confirmed that Chris Evans has accepted the offer to play the role of Captain America/Steve Rogers in the "The First Avenger : Captain America " movie which is scheduled to be released in July 2011.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Evans has accepted an offer from Marvel Studios to star as Steve Rogers in "Captain America" and nine other Marvel features, including potential sequels, "The Avengers" and other unannounced projects. Evans' casting rounds out Marvel's so-called holy trinity of heroes, with Robert Downey Jr. long filling the metallic armor of Tony Stark in Jon Favreau's "Iron Man" films and Chris Hemsworth currently shooting the title role in Kenneth Branagh's "Thor."

Not too overly excited by this, but i say he's a good choice, better than some of the other candidates IMO. He can look the part, but the true test is portraying the character right (which he did as Johnny Storm/Human Torch in the FF movies IMO). Hopefully he does better than expected & does Cap right. We shall see....

"Spring Cleaning"

Spring is just around the corner (in the temperate zones anyways), so i decided to get this blog "Dusted-off". Upgraded, updated & "repainted".., probably will do some more maintenance & upgrading in time but for now its just nice & clean.

The Taskmaster picture took the longest, i had to 'clean' it up & rebuild some of the costume as well as change the colours of some of the costume, but i really loved how it turned out..!!!
